Venice is not a reality ….it is a dream…a dream of light playing off the ever present water….of buildings as fantastical as spun sugar confections….a dream of melded ancient cultures and exotic lands from times gone by……a dream of the the gently lapping waters rocking, soothing and caressing you..there is a reason why Shakespeare wrote 3 plays in and about Venice, including Romeo and Juliet…..Venice deserves to be praised, to be dramatized……to be immortalized…..I have traveled far and wide on this planet but rarely have I been so moved, so inspired….
